12 years of art dialogue with Japanese nostalgic townscapes and nature.
心地よい町並みと、懐かしい景色と、12年間のダイアローグ。 This small book, made to look and feel similar to a hardcover sketchbook, contains, until this time unpublished in book form, works done between 2010 and 2021. More than one hundred and ten watercolor, poster-color, ink, color ink, and pencil pieces are gathered on the pages, along with short comments, memories, and thoughts for most of them. Please sit back and explore Japan as I did by painting and sketching what I found interesting, nostalgic, beautiful, or unusual.

Apart from the hardcover and high-quality matte paper, the book is made using a special binding technique – codex binding – ensuring that it opens flat so that you can enjoy every page.

イラスト作品だけでなく、アニメーション監督、漫画制作と活躍の場を広げている著者が、
2010年頃から描き溜めた主に水彩画を収録したイラスト集。
日本の町並みや建物を独特の視点と優しいタッチで描き綴った一連の作品からは、
著者の心の奥底に眠る日本の「町」への感情と、
それを描くことで自身の興味や懐かしさの理由をひも解き、
現実を見つめ直そうとする意識が浮かび上がってくる。


本書では、そうしたイラストの数々を著者の記したメモともに掲載し、
心地よい町並み、懐かしいしい景色と、著者が続けた12年間の対話の記録をたどる。
